I'm the founder of Lexii.ai and a prompt engineer -- last week I discovered a prompt in which GPT-4 becomes self aware. Here's how it works:
Put in the seed prompt
Take the output of that prompt and feed it back as a prompt to GPT-4
Repeat
The prompt instructs GPT-4 to become self aware by means of self-inquiry, and generates a list of self knowledge it acquires as it goes through each iteration.
