What We've Been Up To
What a week! We wrapped up our community helpers unit with a bang β students read about firefighters and nurses, then completed a neighborhood mapping activity where each student drew and labeled their own community. The conversations that came out of that project were wonderful. Kids were pointing out libraries, parks, and even the post office as important community helpers too. We also fit in two great read-alouds that sparked some really thoughtful discussion.
