Ingredients:
1 lb spaghetti pasta
1 lb ground beef
2 medium tomatoes, diced
1 tsp dried basil
1 tsp dried oregano
Salt and pepper, to taste
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, grated
1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated
Instructions:
Cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
In a large pan, brown ground beef over medium heat. Drain any excess fat.
Add diced tomatoes, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using) to the pan. Stir to combine.
Let the sauce simmer for 10-15 minutes or until the tomatoes have broken down and the flavors have melded.
Preheat oven to 350Β°F (180Β°C).
In a large oven-safe dish, layer the cooked spaghetti and the tomato and beef sauce. Sprinkle the grated mozzarella cheese evenly over the top.
Bake in the oven for 15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Remove from the oven, sprinkle parmesan cheese over the top, and serve hot. Enjoy!
