Joe Biden is the 46th President of the United States, having taken office on January 20, 2021. He has a long and distinguished career in public service, including more than 35 years as a U.S. senator from Delaware and eight years as Vice President under President Barack Obama. I. Education
Joe Biden received his early education in the public schools of Claymont, Delaware. He graduated from Archmere Academy, a Catholic prep school in Claymont, in 1961. In 2008, Biden was chosen by Barack Obama as his running mate in the presidential election. Obama and Biden won the election and served two terms in office, from 2009 to 2017.
