Employment Contract This Employment Contract (the "Agreement") is made and entered into on January 1st, 2023, between John (the "Employer"), located at Street 1, USA, and Lina (the "Employee"), located at Street 2, USA. Introduction and Purpose The purpose of this Agreement is to set forth the terms and conditions of employment for the Employee by the Employer. This Agreement contains the entire understanding between the parties and supersedes all prior agreements and understandings, whether written or oral. Employment Terms and Conditions The Employee shall be employed by the Employer as a software engineer on a full-time basis, commencing on January 1st, 2023, and continuing until terminated by either party. The Employee agrees to devote their full time and attention to the performance of their duties under this Agreement. Compensation and Benefits The Employee shall be compensated at a rate of $15 per hour, to be paid bi-weekly on Fridays. The Employer shall also provide the Employee with any benefits that are provided to other employees of the Employer, such as health insurance and 401(k) plans. Employee Responsibilities and Duties The Employee shall perform all duties as a software engineer, including but not limited to, writing, testing, and debugging software code, participating in code reviews, and documenting software development processes. The Employee shall also perform any other duties that are reasonably assigned to them by the Employer. Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure The Employee acknowledges and agrees that during their employment, they may have access to confidential and proprietary information of the Employer. The Employee agrees to maintain the confidentiality of such information and shall not disclose such information to any third party without the prior written consent of the Employer. Intellectual Property Rights Any intellectual property created by the Employee during their employment shall be owned by the Employer. The Employee agrees to promptly disclose any such intellectual property to the Employer and to assist the Employer, at the Employer's expense, in securing any patents, copyrights, or other intellectual property rights that may be obtained for such intellectual property. Termination and Severance Either party may terminate this Agreement at any time, with or without cause, by giving the other party written notice of termination. Upon termination of this Agreement, the Employee shall immediately return to the Employer any property of the Employer in their possession. No severance package shall be provided to the Employee upon termination of this Agreement. Governing Law and Jurisdiction This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of [insert state] and any applicable federal laws. Any dispute arising out of or related to this Agreement shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in [insert county], and the parties hereby consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
