1. Peach Jalapeno Faux-Rita
Ingredients:
- 2 ounces peach nectar
- 2 ounces freshly squeezed lime juice
- 1 ounce jalapeno simple syrup (see below for instructions)
- 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon chipotle powder
- 2 dashes of Angostura bitters
- Soda water
Directions:
Add all ingredients (except for soda water) to a shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously until chilled, and strain into a rocks glass filled with ice. Top off with soda water and garnish with a lime wheel.
Jalapeno Simple Syrup:
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 jalapeno peppers, finely chopped
Directions:
Add the sugar, water, and jalapenos to a small sauce pot and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and let simmer for 10 minutes. Strain mixture into a heatproof container, stirring occasionally until the syrup has cooled. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
2. Spicy Peach Ginger Fizz
Ingredients:
- 2 ounces peach purรฉe
- 2 ounces freshly squeezed lime juice
- 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- 1/2 ounce honey
- 4 ounces cold brewed hibiscus tea
Directions:
Add all ingredients to a shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously until chilled, and strain into a Collins glass filled with ice. Garnish with a lime wheel.
3. Smoky Peach Spritzer
Ingredients:
- 2 ounces peach nectar
- 2 ounces freshly squeezed lime juice
- 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon chipotle powder
- 2 dashes of Angostura bitters
- 2 ounces cold brewed hibiscus tea
- Soda water
Directions:
Add all ingredients (except for soda water) to a shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously until chilled, and strain into a highball glass filled with ice. Top off with soda water and garnish with a lime wheel.
