Sure, on Day 1, we will learn about the basics of photography, which is like using a special box to capture pictures of things around us.
What is Photography?
Photography is like using a magic box called a camera to take pictures of things you see around you, like your friends, pets, flowers, or even beautiful places you visit.
How does a Camera Work?
Inside the camera, there is a special part called the lens. It's like a big eye that looks at things. When you press a button, the camera opens its eye for a short time, and it captures the picture of what it saw.
Aperture, Shutter Speed, and ISO
Imagine you have a curtain in front of the camera's eye. The size of the curtain's hole is called the "aperture." The bigger the hole, the more light comes in, and the picture gets brighter. The smaller the hole, the less light, and the picture gets darker.
The time the curtain stays open is called "shutter speed." If the curtain is open for a long time, more light comes in, and the picture may look blurry if the subject moves. If it's open for a short time, less light comes in, and the picture looks sharp.
ISO is like the camera's sensitivity to light. A lower ISO is good for sunny days, and a higher ISO is useful in darker places.
Different Types of Cameras
There are different kinds of cameras. Some are big and have a detachable lens (DSLR), some are smaller (point-and-shoot), and some are in between (mirrorless). But all of them do the same job - take pictures!
Remember, it's essential to hold the camera steady when taking a picture, just like when you're trying to take a clear picture with your own hands. And that's the fun part of photography - you get to capture the moments and memories around you!
Keep practicing and exploring with your camera, and you'll become an amazing photographer in no time!
