Marquetry

Marquetry is not wood cut into shapes. It is grain direction used as a drawing tool, with each veneer chosen so its figure runs the way the design needs it to. The giveaway of real work is hot sand shading, where an edge is dipped in heated sand to scorch a soft gradient into it. This template renders both.
