Mezzotint Print Art

Mezzotint is the printmaking technique of the deepest blacks: the whole plate is roughened, then light is burnished back out of the dark. This template recreates that look, with each subject rising from a velvety black ground in soft tonal gradations, printed on cotton paper with a plate mark. Made for gothic wall art and Halloween decor. The printing process stays locked across all nine versions. Three short keywords change the print: the subject, the background detail, and the ink colour.
