WHEN TO USE THIS SOP Use this SOP whenever a blog draft has been approved and is ready to move from Google Docs into WordPress for publishing. 3. STEP-BY-STEP PROCESS 1. Open the approved draft in Google Docs and run it through Grammarly for a final grammar pass. 2. Copy the final text into a new WordPress post. 3. Format headers, bullet points, and bold text to match the site's existing style. 4. Create a featured image in Canva sized for the blog (1200x630px). 5. Upload the featured image to the WordPress post. 6. Write a meta description (under 155 characters) summarizing the post for search results. 7. Preview the post on both desktop and mobile view. 8. Fix any spacing or image issues found in the mobile preview. 9. Set the publish date and time. 10. Click Publish and confirm the post is live by visiting the URL. 4. TOOLS & ACCESS NEEDED - WordPress admin login - Grammarly account or browser extension - Canva account with access to the blog's featured image template 5. COMMON MISTAKES TO AVOID - Skipping the meta description: posts without one get an auto-generated snippet that often looks broken in search results. - Not checking mobile view: images and headers can overlap or get cut off on phones, which is where most blog traffic comes from. 6.
