NEWSLETTER HEADER
Good morning Grace Community Church
family — and what a week it is to
be alive and together.
If you are reading this over your
morning coffee or on your commute
we are glad this found you. This week
at Grace we are diving into one of
the most personally challenging and
genuinely freeing topics in Scripture —
forgiveness. Inside this week's newsletter
you will find Pastor David's personal
note this Sunday's sermon preview a
mid-week devotional to carry you through
the week and everything happening in
our Grace family community this week.
Welcome in.
PASTOR'S NOTE
Dear Grace family,
I was driving behind someone this week
who cut me off in traffic — not once
but twice — and I felt something rise
up in me that I will not describe in
detail in a church newsletter. And then
I thought: this Sunday I am preaching
on forgiveness. The irony was not lost
on me.
The truth is forgiveness is not a topic
we master once and move on from. It is
a daily practice. A moment by moment
choice. And most of us are carrying
something — a conversation that went
wrong a person who let us down a wound
that scabbed over but never fully healed —
that is quietly costing us more than
we realise.
This Sunday I want to open Ephesians
4:31-32 together and look honestly at
what God asks of us and more importantly
what He makes available to us to make
it possible. This is not a guilt trip.
It is an invitation to the most
liberating decision you can make.
I cannot wait to be in the room with
you. Come expectant.
With love and genuine hope for your week,
Pastor David
THIS WEEK'S SERMON PREVIEW
Is there someone in your life you have
not fully forgiven? Not the surface level
forgiveness we perform for others —
the real kind that actually sets you free.
This Sunday Pastor David opens Ephesians
4:31-32 and tackles one of the most
personally challenging truths in the
New Testament. What does it actually
mean to forgive as God forgave us?
And what makes that even possible on
a Tuesday when the wound is still fresh?
Join us this Sunday at [SERVICE TIME]
at [LOCATION / ONLINE LINK]. Come ready
for a message that will not just challenge
you — it will genuinely release something
in you.
WEEKLY SCRIPTURE AND DEVOTIONAL
It is Wednesday morning. Maybe the week
is already feeling heavy. Maybe there
is someone from the weekend still
taking up space in your head rent-free.
Ephesians 4:32 says: Be kind and
compassionate to one another forgiving
each other just as in Christ God forgave
you.
Notice what Paul does not say. He does
not say forgive when you feel like it.
He does not say forgive after they
apologise. He says forgive as God
forgave you — which means completely
freely and before you deserved it.
That is a high standard. But it comes
with a power source attached. You do
not have to do this in your own strength.
The same grace that covers you is the
grace available to give.
Pray this today:
Father I do not have enough grace in
me for this. But You do. Fill me with
what I cannot manufacture on my own
