Hey r/ProRevenge, buckle up for a wild ride because this story has it all: car accidents, attempted scams, and sweet, sweet revenge. All in a funny, yet revengeful manner!
So, I'm driving down the road minding my own business when suddenly, out of nowhere, this guy in a beat-up sedan swerves in front of me and slams on the brakes. I manage to stop just in time, but not before giving him a little love tap with my bumper. He jumps out of his car, screaming and carrying on about how I ruined his precious vehicle.
Here's where things get interesting. This guy had clearly done this before because he starts insisting that we "settle" right there with cash or else he's calling the cops. I knew this was a scam, so I played along. I told him I'd pay him, but I needed to get my wallet from the trunk.
Little did he know, I had a dashcam that captured the whole incident. So, as I'm "getting my wallet," I'm actually grabbing the footage to show the cops when they arrive. I call the police and explain the situation, and they're on their way.
When the officers arrive, scammer-guy's face turns ghost-white. I calmly show them the dashcam footage, which clearly shows him causing the accident intentionally. They arrest him on the spot for fraud.
But wait, there's more!
As they're cuffing him, he starts freaking out, trying to escape. In the process, he stumbles and falls right into the side of his own car, leaving a nice big dent. It was like watching karma deliver a swift, poetic kick to the rear.
The officers couldn't help but chuckle at the whole situation. As they carted him off to jail, they assured me that his insurance would take care of any damages to my car. But in the end, my car was barely scratched, so it really wasn't a big deal.
Now, I could have stopped there and just enjoyed the show, but I decided to take my revenge a step further. I posted the dashcam footage on social media, tagging the local news stations. The video went viral, and our scammer friend became the laughingstock of the entire town.
So, not only did he get arrested for his little scam attempt, but he also got a taste of his own medicine with that dent and became a local meme. Talk about the perfect revenge!
Moral of the story: If you're going to try to scam someone, make sure they don't have a dashcam and a flair for revenge. And maybe don't slam on your brakes in front of someone who's got a good sense of humor.
