Act One: Introduce Jack, a risk-averse insurance agent living in Woodstock, NY. He's always played it safe and followed in his father Tom's footsteps, who constantly disapproves of Jack's lack of ambition. Introduce Jill, an adrenaline-junkie who has just moved to Woodstock. She's a free spirit, seeking adventure and excitement wherever she goes. Her mother Lucy supports her thrill-seeking lifestyle. Inciting Incident: Jill accidentally crashes into Jack's car while attempting a daring stunt on her motorcycle. No one is injured, but the accident becomes a local sensation. Jack and Jill meet and argue over the accident. They find themselves attracted to each other, but their differing lifestyles create tension. Jack is intrigued by Jill's wild nature, while Jill is intrigued by Jack's stability. End of Act One: Jack decides to impress Jill by embracing her adventurous lifestyle. He believes this will help him gain her affection and also prove his father wrong about his lack of ambition.
